Like the typical capacitor for electronics application, the power capacitor nameplate usually contains its capacitance, which is, usually, within the microfarad range. The rating of the capacitor, however, is usually given in Kvar or Mvar and not in capacitance, unlike its smaller counterpart. Frequency and voltage of its application is also stated in the nameplate.
