Designing of Sub-Station & Fixing of HV & LV Switchgear, Transformers, Auxiliary Boards etc. considering Indian & International Standards & preparation of Equipment Layout.
Designing of schematic & block diagram for various feeder and Relay Co-ordination.
Designing of Lighting Layout of S/S, Control Room & various section of plant and preparation of BOQ for Lighting material.
Selection Electrical Equipment for hazardous area.
Designing of Earthing Layout of plant & preparation of BOQ for Earthing material.
Selection of cables considering various aspects & preparation of cable list.
Preparation of detailed schedules of Switchgears & Control stations.
Preparation of Inter-connection diagrams.
Preparation of enquiry for various electrical equipment, Offer evaluation, preparation of Technical Comparative Statement & finally preparation of Technical recommendation of equipment.
Vendor drawing review.
Coordination with Client, Vendor, Sub-Contractors etc.
Inter-discipline coordination.
Preparation of Proposal and Man-hour estimation for new project.

4. HVAC Field
A. The Qualification
HVAC design/Detail Engineering

B. The Role
Interpret client brief, Creation of HVAC system concept
Design of complete HVAC & R systems for different type of buildings/applications for on-shore and offshore projects, System selection. Preparation of Technical Specifications Data Sheets, Bill of material for procurement of HVAC & R equipment suitable for installation in safe, contaminated and hazardous areas. Preparation of Design criteria, Air Flow diagram, D&ID’s, HVAC & R calculations for Cooling/Heating loads, over all heat transfer coefficients, Psychrometric calculations, Pressurization, ventilation etc. Design of Air-distribution system, Fan Selection, Pressure Loss calculations.
Design of Circulating water / refrigerant piping system and calculations of total pump static head. Preparation of Plant Room layout and selection of HVAC & R plant such as A/C unit, refrigeration equipment, Ventilation units, heating equipment, Air-Filtration / Washer unit. Preparation of Tech. Specification and selection of mechanical equipment related to HVAC & R such as Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, vessels, Air separator, Fans and Heat recovery units. Preparation of Tech. Specification and selection of HVAC & R accessories such as; Air-filters, thermal insulation, humidifier, Dampers.
Post tendering activities such as technical, commercial and financial evaluation of bids and preparation of reports.
Troubleshooting existing HVAC system, Prepare defects and snag schedules, proposing solutions etc..
Provide updated as-built documents upon job completion.
Perform cost benefit analysis, including anticipated annual energy analysis, detailed cost estimates. System analysis to find ways to increase system efficiency and to minimize operating cost.

5. PROCESS Field
A. The Qualification
M. Tech. of Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Process Design and Engineering in the field of Oil & Gas( Onshore and Offshore), drill ship ,New Platforms as well as modification on existing platforms including gas compression, water injection & treatment, gas dehydration, oil/gas separation, gas sweetening, and Refinery (Hydrogen Plant, LPG Plant )
Basic & Detail Engineering, HAZOP study and commissioning .
Skilled in Thermal Rating of Heat Exchangers, Hydraulics calculations and Equipments sizing.
Preparation of P&IDs, PFDs with Heat and mass balance.
Data Sheet for Equipment & Instruments, Safety system evaluation, Bid evaluation.
Conversant with usage of software packages like HTRI, HYSYS and
PIPE-NET.
Knowledge of MS-office and Lotus SmartSuit.

Preparation of PFD , P&ID, Data sheets ,Hazop study

6. PROGRAMMING & RESEARCH
A. The Qualification
Successful applicant must have relevant experience in the field of Information Technology and must have a thorough understanding of IT architecture and infrastructure. Knowledge on IT applications as implemented in design and production-oriented industry particularly CADs systems will be considered favorably. Furthermore, any experience on research or research contributions will also be considered.

B. The Role
The role of a Research Engineer is varied and may extend outside the scope of the position. Generally, he or she may get involved in research for the use of latest technologies in CAD System and in the development of new CAD Applications to enhance efficiency and productivity in ship design and production process. As such, he or she will also be part in the development and testing of design innovations. Furthermore, successful applicant may take part in the design and implementation of new IT infrastructure deemed to best fit the requirement of design and production divisions of the company. Another important role will be to continuously acquire new knowledge that may be practically beneficial to the company. Finally, he or she will also be responsible for providing support to designers as necessary.
