Philippine Politicians are starting to Use Google Adwords/Adsense for Political Campaign

Not only is the corporate world in the Philippines learning the power of internet to launch an ad campaign, the politicians too. In the screenshot below, you will see the political ad campaign of Bayani Fernando in the Adsense Ad Block. Bayani Fernando is one of those politicians aspiring for the position of President of the Philippines in the up-coming presidential and national election in May 2010, just a few months from now.

As far as I know, political ad is allowed in the Google Adwords/Adsense program; however, this had been an issue in the recent Presidential election in the United States because most of the website owners didn’t want a political ad appearing in their website.
