How to Set-up the CNAME and A records for “Adsense for Domain” in Onlinenic .com
“Adsense for Domain” allows the domain owners to monetize their currently unused or parked domains by placing Adsense ads on it.
Adsense provides a step-by-step procedure on setting-up the CNAME and A records for various domain registrars and DNS providers but does not include a procedure for Onlinenic Registrar.
If your domains are registered through Onlinenic, here’s the procedure for setting-up the records;
1. Login to your Onlinenic account. Change your domain’s DNS to ns1.dns-diy.net and ns2.dns-diy.net.
2. Go to dns-diy.net and login. Your password is the password that you assigned to your domain.
3. Create a CNAME record by entering the following values and click “append”;
• Host: www
• Type: CNAME
• Data: pub-xxxxxxxx.afd.ghs.google.com. (xxxxxxx is your Adsense publisher id. Don’t orget the dot, “.”, at the end of the url)
• Priority: (leave blank)
• TTL: (leave the default value)
4. Create the A record by entering the following values and click “append”;
• Host: (just leave black)
• Type: A
• Data: 216.239.32.21
• Priority: (leave blank)
• TTL: (leave the default value)
5. Repeat step 4 for the following Data Value
• 216.239.34.21
• 216.239.36.21
• 216.239.38.21
That’s it, short and simple. The update might take around 24-48 hours to propagate all trough-out the web.
