How to Remove/Uninstall ie7pro Search in the Toolbar
Ie7pro is an add-on for Internet Explorer which has the following features;
1. Double click to close tab.
2. Open new tab from address bar.
3. Enable/disable tab browse history manager.
4. Enable/disable crash recovery
5. Move the IE menu bar above the address bar
6. Hide search bar.
7. Modify the maximum number of parallel connections to the web server.
8. Select the external program to view page source
However, installing ie7pro will also change your default search tool bar from Live.com to search.ie7pro.com.
Behavior of ie7pro Search is, sometimes, annoying. For example, if you enter a URL in the address bar, Internet Explorer will make an automatic query of that URL in the search.ie7pro.com website; and you don’t want this kind of behavior to happen since it is, definitely, unnecessary and a waste of time.
To remove/uninstall ie7pro Search in the toolbar,
1. Go to Start -> Run then type “regedit”, then hit enter. The Registry Editor window will open.
2. In the Registry Editor window, open this window;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer -> SearchScopes.
In the SearchScopes folder, there must be at least two folders inside; one folder contains a URL registry entry containing a link to search.ie7pro.com, while the other folder contains a URL registry entry containing a link to search.live.com. Delete the folder containing the URL registry entry containing a link to search.ie7pro.com.
3. Restart your Internet Explorer and you’re done.
