How to Install SMART Bro on Asus EEE PC
I felt so dumb when I first installed my prepaid SMART Bro modem driver/software on my Asus EEE PC. I really thought that the installer is in the red CD but no, what the CD contained is the installer for MAC OS.
An installer set-up should prompt if you plug the modem. If it did not prompt, like for the case of EEE PC, open “My computer”, EXPLORE the “Smart Bro modem” removable drive and double click the “autorun.exe”, and just follow-on the set-up process until you’re done.
It means that the installer/driver of SMART Bro for Windows XP and Vista is stored in the modem memory. You don’t really need the CD.
By the way, you must first install windows XP on your EEE PC.
