Confusions on Hadi Saadat Power Flow Examples

Date

I was confused with Hadi Saadat’s discussion of power flow analysis on his book, Power System Analysis. Though his discussion and illustrations is more clearer and easy to understand than other power system analysis books, he still forgot to emphasize on his discussions about the Newton-Rhapson power flow analysis method, specially on his examples (e.g., example 6.7), that the value of power is for single phase only. It means that for actual system, you still have to divide the load by 3. This is the reason why the voltage magnitude drops drastically on my simulation.

This might also the reason why the power flow in the probabilistic load flow program that I made a few years ago was hard to converge. May be I should look at it again.
