Double-Bus Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)

This is a 138 kV SF6 GIS with a double-bus bus-breaker configuration. The bus configuration is more complex than the single bus GIS that we cited before because of much number of lines interconnected in the substation. There are actually five (5) circuits/lines interconnected to this switch gear. That’s very compact for this size.
