Topping Cycle Geothermal Power Plant

A topping cycle geothermal power plant is used to improve the performance of geothermal power plant by making use of the excess steam inlet pressure to power a smaller power plant. Geothermal steam is often at much higher pressure and must be reduced in pressure to the required turbine inlet conditions of the Main Power Plant.
