Fish Pens inside the Magat Dam Reservoir
One of the major problems in extending the life of Magat reservoir for irrigation and power generation purposes is the presence of fish pens inside. Aside from the danger that may post by keeping the fish pens so near to the hydro plant’s penstock, fish feeds contributes to the current siltation problem of the dam.
However, for the fish pens owners’ point of view, the reservoir gives livelihood for them.
