GE Hydran M2 Online Gas Monitor
This is a GE Hydran M2 used for the online monitoring of the dissolved gasses in the transformer oil. Composition and rate of accumulation of dissolved gasses in the transformer oil, like hydrogen, acetylene , ethylene, ethane, and carbon dioxide, could be a signature of abnormalities inside the transformer tank. Such abnormalities could be partial discharge, over heating, insulation paper decomposition, or fault. In this picture, the device is installed through the oil drain outlet.
