Cross-flow Force Draft Cooling Tower in Geothermal Power Plants
This is a typical construction of a cross-flow force draft cooling tower in a geothermal power plant. Unlike a natural draft cooling tower, this is more efficient in cooling the circulating water but add-up to the auxiliary load of the power plant because of its huge cooling fans that sucks air out of the tower. Some engineers say that a counter-flow type is more efficient than cross-flow.
