Is this Jatropha Plant?
This plant is very much look like a Jatropha (Jathropa) Plant, however, some locals said that this plant only belongs to the family of a Jatropha and not the same Jatropha that is popular for its ability to produce bio-diesel from its fruit. This “variety” of Jathropha, however, according to the locals produced more quantity of oil than the popular one.
This plant in the photo grows in the rocky hills, near shore line, of Burgos, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines.
