The Pantabangan Dam Spillway

A photo of the spillway of Pantabangan Dam in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Pantabangan reservoir is the largest man made reservoir in the Philippines in terms of storage volume, which holds water for irrigation, flood control and electric power generation.

A spillway is used to discharge water from the reservoir for consumption or if the water elevation is already above its full storage level. Pantabangan dam spillway can discharge more than 3,000 cubic meter per second of water if the water elevation is at full storage level.
