Where and How to find Free IEEE Standard and Paper Downloads
IEEE offers lots of good papers and references for your projects and research, however, IEEE publications are downloadable exclusively for its members only. Sometimes, access also depends on the level of membership in the organizations. Membership fees range from USD 131 to USD 165. It’s not that high though, but if you will only need one to two papers for your project, I think it’s not worth the cost.
However, you can still find free IEEE papers and publications using any of the following means;
1. Go to your Schools Engineering Library. Sometimes, large engineering schools subscribed and compiled IEEE papers and publications for their students.
2. Using the internet, search for homepage of the author of the paper that you are looking for. Sometimes, the author posts their papers on their website and can be downloadable for free.
3. Some modern schools subscribe their internet network system to IEEE publication. If you can have an internet access through the schools computer network, you automatically access and download IEEE papers.
4. This last option is neither legal nor advisable, but come-on, you can borrow your friend’s (if he has) username and password to gain access.
