How to Remove Spywares and Adwares in your Personal Computer (PC)

Removing spywares and adwares in your Windows personal computer (PC) using spyware and adware removal softwares that are vastly available in the internet is sometimes (or most of the time) ineffective because it does not completely remove the spywares, adwares and viruses in your computer. Sometimes, instead of removing spywares, some unreliable and unpopular spyware removal softwares are itself, a spyware.

Previously, we discussed on how we can get rid of the spyware called clicksearchclick. The procedure discussed in that article is also applicable in removing other spywares in your computer. We also recommend some spyware removing softwares like freeav, hijackthis and adaware by lavasoft. However, most of the time, it does not completely remove all the spywares installed in the computer.

If the spywares are couldn’t be removed using spyware removing programs, the only and most effective way to do that is to manually remove and delete the spywares. That is, spywares are also programs or executable files (with .exe extension) that were installed in the computer. And you can only completely remove that by literally deleting it in your computer hard drives.

Manually removing spywares or viruses in your computer is a matter of how much you know your computer. You must be familiar with all the programs that you installed in your PC. This is because you have to identify all of the suspicious executable files running in your computer and delete it. However, deleting computer system files may cause serious problems.

Spywares, adwares, and viruses usually place itself at temp folders, Windows or windows\system32 directory, program files, and the root directory of drive C. Using task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) identify suspicious looking (naming) running programs. If you are not familiar with the program, you can use search engines, like Google, to research more about it. If it was confirmed that it is a spyware, search for it and delete it. Some spywares named itself similar to a system file that is legally used by windows. You can also use the internet to research its intended location in your hard drive. It might be a spyware if it is located to a directory other than it supposed location.
