Are they running out of publishers?

I don’t think this is the main reason why Google launches Adsense referral program. Google referral program allows the owner of the referring website, who earns $100 and up, to earn US $100 for every referral of new AdSense publisher. This is because, as far as I know and based also from my observation, there are already bunch of adsense publishers in the internet.

Some people think that Google just wanted to take advantage of the publishers that do not reach the $100 cut off because Google earns a lot from them. I do also believe on this speculation.

But for some reason, whatever is the objective of Google in launching this program, most probably, I’m not going to participate. Why? Simply because an increase in the number of publishers will surely decrease the CPC of adsense ad and revenue, of course. And also probably increase the number of website scrappers and spammers in the internet. So, don’t be tempted by this $100 per referral. It will surely decrease your adsense income in the near future.
