Adsense Tip for Bloggers: How to Remove and Avoid Blog Related Ads
One of the problems of posting adsense ad in web blogs is that most of the time, the advertisement is all about blogs and not about the content of the web blog. Of course, you want it relevant to your article or to what you have written.
Well, the following are some additional tips if you want to make your ad relevant to your content.
1. Make you content long enough and such that it will overcome the blog targeted keywords like “blog”, “comment”, “wordpress”. Better if you will remove these keywords. The website content must also focus only on a single topic.
2. Since the google bot is intelligent enough to determine that the layout and the content structure of your web page is like a web blog, try to edit the layout and structure of your web page. Of course, you must know how to edit it.
3. Avoid linking to blogs or websites that is about blogs, like wordpress . org, or to websites that pretty look like a blog.
4. Similarly, avoid being linked using anchor text containing the word “blog”. This one is really out of your control.
5. Avoid using “blog” keyword in your domain and URL.
6. Avoid being listed in a blog directory. Just like number 4, this one may be out of your control.
7. Use adsense section targeting, http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=23168&topic=371
