How Geothermal Energy is Converted into Electric Power?

1.    From Geothermal Reservoir (at least 3 Km below the Earth), the Geothermal steam surges out of the reservoir and is diverted to a separator which separates geothermal fluids from steam.
2.    In the Separator, the separated fluids are sent back to the geothermal reservoir through a specially-constructed re-injection well that recharges the reservoir and eliminates pollution hazards. The hot steam on the other hand, is sent to the Scrubber.
3.    In the Steam Receiver and Scrubber, the steam is made 99% pure and rid-off all contaminants before it is passed to the Turbine at the power plant.
4.    In the Turbine of the power plant, the surging steam turns the giant turbine to rotate at 3600 OR 3000 revolutions per minute (rpm) which, in turn, rotates the generator that is coupled to the Turbine by a rotor shaft. The Generator converted the rotational kinetic energy of the turbine into electrical energy.
5.    The steam that passes through the turbine is diverted into a condenser to condense the steam into liquid water.
6.    From the condenser, the still hot liquid water passes through a cooling process through a cooling tower.  This cooled water will be used again in the condenser for the condensation of the steam from the turbine (step 5). This process goes in a close loop. Some of the excess cooled water is re-injected back into the geothermal reservoir.
7.    Back from the generator, the generated electricity is transformed into a higher voltage for bulk power transmission that well then be transformed back for distribution and utilization.
