This clicksearchclick spyware/adware virus is the latest annoying adware that I encountered in the internet. It is also the first and only adware virus, I know, that can infect the Firefox browser. Once you got this virus, your computer will experience the following behaviour;

1. Annoying popups. Like other spyware and adware viruses, clicksearchclick causes an annoying ad pop-ups in your computer.

2. It hijacks and modifies the text in the webpage. This is new among adwares. Clicksearchclick randomly modifies the text in the webpage before it is shown by the browser, either Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, to a hyperlink that directs a search query to clicksearchclick.com using the anchor text as the query text. It is more annoying if the actual hyperlink is modified by the virus to a search query to clicksearchclick.com instead of directing you to your desired location. It also modifies snipplet and URL’s of the search results of search engines, like Google and Yahoo, to a search query to clicksearchclick.com.

Base on my research, clicksearchclick.com is a pay per click search engine. It uses these dirty tricks to force the internet users to perform a search query in their search engine.

How to remove this adware virus
This is also applicable in removing other kinds of spywares, adwares and computer viruses
The first step to remove this virus is to end process any suspicious applications that run in your computer. Then, delete the content of temp/tmp folders in C:/ and C:/windows. Delete also the content of temporary internet files and all uncommon .dlls and .exes in C:/ directory.
The second step is to run the following anti spyware softwares,
1. Adaware from Lavasoft.com
2. Hijackthis.exe. You can download this in download.com. I dont recommend this because it does not provide any information on what file should be deleted, it only gives a list of all possible spywares including most of your installed applications. You have to read more forums about spywares if you want to use this.
3. Run AntiVir Personal Edition from freeav.com. This is the most efficient way, base from my experience, to remove the virus. Delete all files that it has detected as a virus or has infected by the virus.

Take note not to run any application specially internet browsers while removing the adware. Once you have remove the adware virus, change your internet browser from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. Base from current technology, Firefox is more immune to viruses than Internet Explorer.
